In the mid-800 Bortolo Zanin opened an inn, which offered, between the various local food and drinks, even the “white spirit”. Zugliano people developped a passion for the “graspe” so much that Bortolo decided to begin to expand the production of distillates. In the ’40s, with the inn all in all closed, the son Rino continued the expansion activity of the distillery and aging of destillates, leading to fame the Cavallina Bianca brand. In the ’70s, with Fausto Zanin the company expands abroad, in 38 countries. Today the distillery is led by Piero Zanin and his brother-in-law Massimo Fontana, which have enlarged the production to new premises in Zugliano, restoring the old mill acquired by father Fausto. Four generations linked by the same passion, illustrated in the essence of every drop labeled Zanin 1895.

Brandy Stravecchio Grand Reserve 20 Years Monte Sabotino Selezione is a distillate with an intriguing personality as it combines elegance with the wealth of intoxicating scents of 20 years of “experience” that are evident from its mature character. It represents a further evolution of the Brandy Selezione Monte Sabotino line and the tradition of the aging process that distinguishes our products.

“The second evolution” “represents with the Brandy Stravecchio Grand Reserve 20 Anni the second step, 20 years long, towards the additional ten. The second important step in a process that gives the product an even greater richness both for the softness on the palate and for the feeling of purity that the wood manages to give further, so much so as to want to push it further.

Distillation Method

Controlled temperature fermentation to avoid harmful secondary fermentations. Followed by the discontinuous distillation with the cutting of the heads and tails, in particular copper steam stills, the result of innovation and continuous research.

The distillation takes place very slowly to allow the volatile components responsible for the perfumes to evaporate and consequently condense while keeping intact the precious organoleptic characteristics of the selected vines.

Maturation / Aging

Obtained from the distillation of wines rigorously and personally selected, it is subjected to constant controls both in the organoleptic evolution and in the aromatic yield.

Brandy Stravecchio Grand Reserve 20 Years of aging spends over 20 years in wooden containers of different capacities and strictly in Slavonian oak from where it captures all the most precious and intense notes that wood can release in over 20 years to contact with the distillate.

How to Serve It

It should be served at a temperature between 16 ° C and 20 ° C in a medium balloon type glass. Before tasting, Brandy Stravecchio Grand Reserve 20 years Monte Sabotino must rest a few minutes in the glass: oxygenating, the aromas are enhanced, the nose-palate harmony is completed.
