In 1952 the designer Gaby Aghion started Chloé innovating the world of French haute couture with the first collection of prêt-à-porter that made the dream of fashion and luxury accessible to all women. The name Chloé was chosen by Aghion for the feminine and refined sound it had. In 1956 the first collection designed by Aghion was presented at Le Cafè de Flore. The success was such as to allow Aghion and Lenoir to hire new young talents such as Christiana Bailly, Michèle Rosier, Maxime de la Falaise, Graziella Fontana. From 1966 to 1983 Chloé’s main designer was Karl Lagerfeld, and the brand became one of the best known in the world of fashion, worn by personalities such as Jackie Kennedy, Brigitte Bardot, Maria Callas and Grace Kelly.

With their characteristic glamorous and retro style, the Maison’s iconic Carlina sunglasses are the emblem of lightness, femininity and fluidity.

In this luxurious version, the concentric circles that frame the frame are reinterpreted in hand-colored terracotta enamel for a contrasting effect. Thin on the inside and wider on the outside, the bold circles seem to wrap the unmistakable thick and beveled lenses in an endless spiral.

The petrol blue shaded lenses underline the retro charm of the model, while the temple terminals have the Maison’s iconic drop-shaped opening, compatible with eyewear jewelry.
